Introduction: Hello and welcome to Week 1 of the Professional Practice I of the BA in English Teaching at ULACIT term IIIC 2022. In today's class we will take time to get to know each other, review the syllabus and important dates, and discuss expectations and needs regarding your research project.

Today's Goals:
  • Review the course syllabus, evaluation structure, and calendar of important dates.
  • Explore your initial beliefs about teaching and the role of teachers as problem solvers.
  • Identify areas of your teaching practice that you would like to focus on this term.
Guiding Questions:
  • How is the course organized and what are its goals and major assignments?
  • In what ways is teaching a problem solving activity?
  • What areas of your teaching skills are you interested in exploring this term?
