Introduction: Hello everyone, and welcome to Week 5 of the course English V at Universidad Castro Carazo term IC 2024. In today's class we are talking about the topic of art, feelings, celebrities, and plans for going out with friends. 

Goals: In today's class we will
  • Describe the important events and achievements of a famous artist.
  • Design a public event and use adverbs and adjectives to describe the experience of the attendees.

Guiding Questions: By the end of today's class you will be able to provide a thoughtful response to the following questions
  • How can the present perfect help me describe past events?
  • What adverbs and adjectives can I use to describe my experiences?

Task 2Mystery Celebrity
Click your group link below. Choose a famous person. It could be a singer, band, actor, or athlete. Write a brief biography of the person talking about their most important achievements. You will read the text to the class and they will try to guess who it is. 













Task 3Summer Festival
Imagine you could create a music or arts festival in Costa Rica. Click your group link below and work with your partners to create the following:
  • Page 1: Festival Poster
    • What is it? Where? Why should people attend?
    • Images
  • Page 2: Schedule of events or activities











Task 4Reviewing the Experience
Now go back to the links of other groups in Task 3. Read their festival information then go to Page 3 and leave a review of your experience. Use the vocabulary below in your review.
